The New Holland L190 is the largest of the L-Series Super Boom skid steers. It runs a 4.5L, 4-cylinder diesel with heavy #100 drive chains and is rated at 2,800 lb operating capacity. With 127 in of hinge pin height and a 76 in wide frame, it fills high-sided trucks and handles heavy attachments that smaller skid steers can't, and an optional two-speed drive tops 10 mph. Check Your PIN Before Ordering:

Several L190 parts change by serial number. The left-hand and right-hand final drives fit L190 loaders after PIN N7M443715. The green-tinted cab door glass 86547915 fits L190 loaders with PIN N7M459486 and prior. Read the full PIN off your serial plate before ordering drive or glass parts.

Common Issues & Fixes:

• Weak travel, grinding or oil leaking at a drive: Check chaincase oil level and chain condition first. A failing final drive usually shows up as noise, heat or weak push on one side. Replace with the left-hand final drive 87600262 or right-hand final drive 87600263, which fit machines after PIN N7M443715.
• Wheel wobble or chaincase oil leaking at the axle: Worn axle bearings let the shaft move and wipe out the seal. Catch it early with the axle bearing kit B93911. If the damage has gone further, replace the axle shaft 86546632, the axle housing 86594881, or the complete axle corner assembly 87440218.
• Loader arms or bucket drifting down: Worn cylinder piston seals. Rebuild with the boom lift cylinder seal kit 86570922, the lift or tilt seal kit 86570919 or the bucket tilt seal kit 9610764.
• Engine or hydraulics running hot: The radiator and hydraulic oil cooler pack up with chaff and dust. Clean them from the fan side, and replace the radiator foam seal kit 87648128 if hot air is recirculating around the cores. If temps stay high with clean fins, replace the radiator or cooler. The L190 used more than one, so match the part number on yours.
• Hard starting or engine dying under load: Check the fuel filters first, then the fuel lift pump 2830122.
• Attachments loose on the plate: Worn coupler pins or a weak latch. Rebuild with the coupler pin and bolt kit 87597878K or the complete quick coupler kit 86601599.

• Know your PIN. Final drives and door glass both change by serial number on the L190.
• Grease the Super Boom pivots daily. The vertical-lift linkage has more pivot points than a radial arm, and dry pins wear the bores.
• Check chaincase oil and wheel play regularly. Catching worn axle bearings early saves the shaft, housing and drive.
• Clean the cooling package before it clogs. A 4.5L engine running high-flow attachments builds heat quickly.
