The Case 570N EP is the Efficient Power variant of the N-generation Loader Landscaper, built 2012 through 2014 alongside the standard 570NXT. The "EP" designation reflects Case's calibration philosophy for this machine: optimized fuel economy at the lighter loads typical of landscape grading, golf course maintenance, soil prep, and light utility work — applications where the operator doesn't routinely demand peak engine output. The 570N EP is built on the N-generation 580N chassis with the backhoe deleted and a 3-point hitch in its place, the same architectural approach used on the 570NXT sibling and the 570MXT and 570LXT predecessors.

For owners maintaining a 570N EP today, the most useful single fact is that most service parts cross-fit with either the 570NXT (3-point hitch architecture, chassis, drivetrain) or the 580N backhoe loader (engine, cab, hydraulics, axles). The 570N EP-specific items are largely confined to the Tier 4B filter kit and the dedicated 4WD and rear axle assemblies. The 570N EP and 570NXT ran in parallel during 2012 – 2014 as two distinct Loader Landscaper variants. Both share the N-generation chassis and most service parts. The differences:

• Engine calibration — 570NXT runs the FPT F5HFL413D in standard calibration; 570N EP runs the same engine family in "Efficient Power" calibration optimized for fuel economy at lighter loads. Mechanically the engines are very close, but ECU mapping and some intake/exhaust details differ.
• Tier 4B vs Tier 4 Interim — the 570N EP is labeled Tier 4B (Tier 4 Final) per our verified filter kit (CS-570NEP-T4B-FK). The 570NXT was Tier 4 Interim. This is a meaningful emissions-tier distinction that affects filter kits, exhaust hardware, and certain electronic engine management items.
• Different filter kits — CS-570NEP-T4B-FK for 570N EP; the 570NXT uses the separate CS-570NXT-FK kit. Do not interchange.
• Chassis parts cross-fit cleanly — pin and bushing kits, glass, 3-point hitch hardware, drivetrain wear components all interchange between 570NXT and 570N EP.

How the 570N EP differs from the 580N backhoe

Same chassis as the 580N, but configured very differently for the work:

• No backhoe — rear is configured for a 3-point hitch.
• 3-point hitch hydraulics — dedicated lift, tilt, and pitch cylinders. The 86982373 lift cylinder seal kit, 86982374 pitch cylinder seal kit, 86982384 tilt cylinder seal kit, and 86982375 Skip Loader lift cylinder seal kit cover the 3-point service.
• Different rear axle — the 47484459 complete rear axle assembly is 570N EP / 580N EP / New Holland U80C specific. The standard 580N backhoe loader uses a different rear axle.
• Different 4WD front axle — the 47516353 rebuilt 4WD front axle is 570N EP / 580N EP specific.
• Lighter operating weight — no backhoe at the rear means roughly 3,000 – 4,500 lb less than the equivalent 580N.

Common service and cross-fit parts

The 570N EP is a short-production Loader Landscaper with a two-year build window and limited fleet population in the field. Many parts cross-fit with the 570NXT sibling and the 580N backhoe loader, broadening the practical parts pool.

Common issues and what to expect

Tier 4B emissions service

The 570N EP's Tier 4B after-treatment requires periodic service items: filter replacements at scheduled intervals, occasional sensor diagnostics, and any DPF / SCR maintenance the engine package requires. Use the CS-570NEP-T4B-FK filter kit at major service intervals.

3-point hitch cylinder seal failure

Same wear pattern as on the 570NXT and 570MXT — the lift, pitch, and tilt cylinders are the highest-cycle hydraulic components. Use the 86982373 lift cylinder kit, 86982374 pitch cylinder kit, and 86982384 tilt cylinder kit during 3-point service. Rear axle and differential service

The 87708394 rear axle center differential service kit covers periodic rear axle service. The 48053638 differential flange is a wear item. For complete rear axle replacement, the 47484459 rebuilt rear axle assembly is the cost-effective drop-in.

4WD front axle service

The 47516353 rebuilt 4WD front axle is the verified drop-in replacement when the original 4WD axle is past piecemeal rebuild. This is 570N EP / 580N EP specific.
