Case 570MXT Loader Landscaper: Specs, Parts & Common Issues
Produced 2003 - 2007, the 570MXT is the M-generation successor to the 570LXT Loader Landscaper. Case 445T/M family Cummins-derived 4.5-liter four-cylinder diesel (available in turbo and non-turbo variants), 3-point hitch rear, front loader, no backhoe. Built on the 580M / 580 Super M small-frame backhoe chassis with the backhoe deleted in favor of a 3-point hitch. Series 3 update brought further refinements late in the production run.
The Case 570MXT is the M-generation Loader Landscaper - a Construction King-platform machine built specifically for landscape grading, soil preparation, golf course work, light construction, and utility work where a 3-point hitch is more useful than a backhoe. It came to market in 2003 as the successor to the 570LXT and ran through 2007, sharing its chassis, drivetrain, hydraulics, and cab with the M-generation 580M / 580 Super M backhoe loaders. What distinguishes the 570MXT is the rear configuration: the backhoe is deleted entirely and replaced with a 3-point hitch capable of carrying tillers, blades, box scrapers, post hole diggers, and other tractor-style implements. The 3-point hitch uses dedicated lift, tilt, and pitch hydraulic cylinders.
The 570MXT runs the Case 445T/M family engine - a Cummins-derived 4.5-liter four-cylinder diesel - in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged configurations depending on order spec. The CS-570MXT-FK filter maintenance kit is for non-turbo Cummins-engine machines; the CS-570MXT-TFK filter kit is for turbo-engine machines; and the CS-570MXT-S3-T-FK kit covers Series 3 machines built late in the production run. Confirming non-turbo vs. turbo vs. Series 3 before ordering filters is essential.

What makes a Loader Landscaper different from a backhoe loader
The 570MXT shares its chassis with the 580M backhoe loader but is configured very differently for the work it was designed to do:
- No backhoe - the rear is configured for a 3-point hitch instead. This is the single most important fact about the 570MXT: it is not a backhoe loader and parts catalogs listing "backhoe" components do not apply to the rear of this machine.
- 3-point hitch with dedicated hydraulics - separate lift, tilt, and pitch cylinders manage 3-point implement positioning. The 183286A1 3-point hitch cylinder seal kit (cross-fit 570LXT and 570MXT) covers the lift cylinder rebuild. The 86982373 lift cylinder seal kit, 86982374 pitch cylinder seal kit, and 86982384 tilt cylinder seal kit each rebuild a specific 3-point hitch hydraulic component on the 570MXT (and 570NXT and 570N EP).
- Lighter operating weight - no backhoe means substantially less rear-end weight. The 570MXT is typically 3,000-4,500 lb lighter than the equivalent 580M, which matters for transport, ground pressure, and fuel economy.
- Loader-forward bias - without backhoe weight at the rear, the 570MXT carries more weight forward over the loader axle. This makes loader work in soft conditions more usable but also requires care when working with heavy 3-point implements.
How the 570MXT differs from the 570LXT predecessor
The 570MXT is the M-generation successor to the L-generation 570LXT. The differences are essentially the same as the differences between the 580L and 580M backhoes:
- Engine - 570LXT used the Cummins 4-390 3.9L; 570MXT uses the larger Case 445T/M 4.5L (also Cummins-derived). More torque, slightly more power.
- 17-spline hydraulic pump - the 570MXT continues the 17-spline pump shaft from the 580L/580M architecture, same pump shared with the 580L and 580M.
- Refined cab and operator station - L-generation cab continues with M-series detail updates.
- 3-point hitch carry-over - the basic 3-point hitch architecture continues from the 570LXT. The 183286A1 3-point hitch cylinder seal kit cross-fits both.

Common issues and what to expect
3-point hitch cylinder seal failure
The 3-point hitch lift, tilt, and pitch cylinders are the highest-cycle hydraulic components on the 570MXT. Use the 86982373, 86982374, and 86982384 seal kits during routine 3-point service.
Wrong-engine filter kit ordering
The 570MXT was sold with both non-turbo and turbo engine configurations. Confirm engine configuration before ordering filter kits: CS-570MXT-FK for non-turbo, CS-570MXT-TFK for turbo, CS-570MXT-S3-T-FK for Series 3.
Bushing wear at common pivot points
The 100522A1 bushing is our #1 570MXT-family seller. Stock a few - it's a high-frequency pin-and-bushing service item.
Power shuttle wear
The Power Shuttle transmission is shared with the 580M architecture. The 87702194R torque converter is the verified replacement when the original loses efficiency.
Cooling system service
The 87441876 transmission oil cooler is a common service item. Replace alongside the main radiator and hydraulic oil cooler.
Wet-disc brake wear
Wet-disc multi-plate brakes inherited from the 580M architecture. The 359653A1 brake piston is the verified service item.
Working on a Case 570MXT?
The 570MXT shares most chassis, drivetrain, and hydraulic items with the 580M backhoe loader - the 3-point hitch is the major distinction. Our specialists can verify non-turbo vs. turbo vs. Series 3 fitment by serial number.

Request a PartWhere the 570MXT sits in the Case lineup
The 570MXT is the M-generation Loader Landscaper variant of the Construction King platform. It runs alongside the 580M / 580 Super M backhoe loaders, sharing chassis, drivetrain, and hydraulics. Before the 570MXT came the 570LXT (1996-2002, Cummins 4-390 engine). After the 570MXT came the 570NXT (2012-2014, FPT F5HFL 3.4L Tier 4 Interim) and 570N EP (2012-2014, FPT Efficient Power). All three modern 570s use the same 3-point hitch architecture introduced on the 570LXT.
