Common Issues & Fixes:

• Hydraulic oil running hot on high-flow work: Mulchers and cold planers pull close to 40 GPM for hours, so heat builds fast. Blow out the cooler cores daily, keep the hydraulic oil at the full mark, and change filters on schedule. Run high flow only when the attachment needs it.
• Tracks derailing or wearing unevenly: Usually loose track tension, packed mud, or worn idlers and sprockets. Clean out the undercarriage at the end of the day, keep tension at spec, and replace the front idler, rear idler or drive sprocket once they show flat spots, wobble or pointed teeth.
• Cab blower only works on high speed: This is the classic sign of a failed blower motor resistor. Replace the blower motor resistor 47442580 to bring back the low and medium fan speeds.
• Attachments won't lock or the levers feel loose: Bent or worn quick attach handles keep the wedges from fully seating. Replace the left-hand or right-hand handle before an attachment comes loose.

Pro Tips:

• Replace tracks, idlers and sprockets as a set. A new track on a worn sprocket wears out early and is more likely to derail.
• Warm up and cool down on high-flow jobs. Let the hydraulic oil come up to temperature before engaging a mulcher, and idle a few minutes before shutdown.
• Grease the Super Boom pivots daily. A vertical-lift arm has more pivot points than a radial-lift arm, and dry pins wear the bores.
