Serial Number Notes: This is the late-generation cylinder. Machines before the serial breaks above use cylinder 180-7485 / 206-0522 (right hand, 4" bore). This cylinder does not fit BKG-prefix 416D machines — those machines use the early-generation cylinder for their entire production run. All MBH-prefix 420D machines use this late-generation cylinder. Right-hand serial breaks run slightly later than left-hand on the BFP, FDP, and BNK prefixes — use the right-hand ranges listed above
430D Serial BML05013 Note: The Cat parts books show a one-serial overlap at BML05013 between the early and late cylinders. If your 430D is exactly BML05013, measure your existing cylinder bore before ordering — 4" indicates the early cylinder (180-7485), 100 mm indicates this late cylinder
