John Deere 710G Backhoe Loader: Heaviest-Duty G-Series Production Backhoe

The 710G succeeded the 710B as JD's largest production backhoe loader. Production ran from the early 2000s through approximately 2007. The G refresh brought EPA Tier 2 emissions compliance with the PowerTech engine platform, refined PowerShift transmission, wet-disc brakes, and the largest hydraulic capacity in JD's industrial backhoe line.

Tier 2 - no DPF, no DEF The 710G's PowerTech Tier 2 diesel meets emissions with cooled EGR and electronic engine control - no diesel particulate filter (DPF), no DEF tank, no SCR catalyst. The 710G adds engine electronics over the mechanical-injection 710B but skips all Tier 3 / Tier 4 aftertreatment that came later. Often the preferred used pick for fleet managers wanting modern operator workflow without DPF service.
