Engine, hydraulics, and drivetrain

The 621E runs a Tier 3 Case diesel through a power-shift transmission. Cooled-EGR aftertreatment without DPF or DEF. The engine uses an electronic-controlled fuel injection system with electronic injectors and a high-pressure injection pump. Loader hydraulics are driven by a piston pump through electrohydraulic control valves.

The articulated frame uses pivot pins and bushings at the center articulation joint and a hydraulic steering circuit fed by a dedicated steering pump. Final drive uses planetary reductions at each wheel hub with wet-disc service brakes inboard. Axle and brake parts cross-fit several models in the E and F generations.
