Frequently Asked Questions

What Komatsu wheel loader models does the evaporator fit?

The Komatsu evaporator from Broken Tractor (SKU 312649122) is listed to fit the WB140, WB140PS, WB150, WB150AWS, WB150PS, WB91R, WB93R, WB97R and WB97S. It covers several WB-series generations, so one part may suit more than one machine in a mixed fleet. Fitment can still vary by cab configuration, so match the part number to your machine before ordering.

What are the signs of a bad evaporator on a Komatsu WB150?

The most common sign is weak or poor cab cooling even when the A/C system is running. Evaporators typically fail from corrosion, refrigerant leaks, or restricted airflow through the core. If your WB150 cab is not cooling the way it should, replacing a corroded, leaking or clogged evaporator core can bring cooling performance back.

Does the same evaporator fit both the Komatsu WB140 and WB150?

Yes. The evaporator Broken Tractor carries is listed for the WB140, WB140PS, WB150, WB150AWS and WB150PS. It is also listed for the WB91R, WB93R, WB97R and WB97S. Check your cab configuration to be sure it matches your machine.

What should I check before ordering an evaporator for a Komatsu WB97R?

Before ordering, verify your cab configuration and the refrigerant type your A/C system uses. Fitment can depend on how your specific machine was built, so compare the part number against your original evaporator. If you are unsure, call the parts team at (800) 909-7060 to confirm compatibility.

Are Komatsu wheel loader evaporators sold new or used?

Broken Tractor offers new replacement evaporator units for Komatsu WB-series machines. They are meant to replace an original evaporator that has failed from corrosion, refrigerant leaks or restricted airflow. Fast shipping is offered from the Baton Rouge and Kimbolton locations.
