What is the difference between rod end and tube end cylinder pins on a Cat dozer?

Rod end and tube end pins are separate parts, so you need to order the pin for the end of the angle or tilt cylinder you are replacing. For example, on the D5H XL, D6M XL, D6M LGP, D6N XL and D6N LGP, the 3G8932 is the angle cylinder pin for the rod end and the 124-5741 is the angle cylinder pin for the tube end. On older D3B, D3C, D4B, D4C and D5C dozers, the 6Y1421 is the tilt cylinder pin for the rod end and the 8J0928 is the tilt cylinder pin for the tube end.
