Frequently Asked Questions

What muffler fits a Case 1840 skid steer?

We carry engine muffler A189113, which fits Case 1840 and 1845C skid steer loaders. It is a direct replacement for the factory part number A189113 and mounts to the original exhaust points on these engines. If you are unsure, match your existing part number or confirm with our parts team.

What is the muffler for a Case 1845C?

The Case 1845C uses engine muffler A189113, the same unit that fits the 1840 skid steer. It routes exhaust gases away from the engine and dampens engine noise. Verify the part number against your machine to confirm fitment.

Can a skid steer muffler be repaired or should it be replaced?

A muffler that is rusted through, cracked, or has failed internal baffles usually needs to be replaced rather than repaired, since welding a worn shell rarely restores proper exhaust flow or noise control. Broken Tractor offers a direct replacement muffler, A189113, for Case 1840 and 1845C machines with fast shipping from two US locations.

What does the muffler do on a Case 1840 or 1845C?

The muffler routes engine exhaust gases out of the machine and dampens engine noise on Case 1840 and 1845C skid steer loaders. It works as a silencer for the powerplant and mounts to the factory exhaust points. We carry replacement muffler A189113 for these models.
