Frequently Asked Questions

What fuel cap fits a Case 1845C skid steer?

The Case 1845C skid steer uses the non-locking replacement fuel cap H436887, which Broken Tractor carries. The same cap also fits the Case 1840. Matching the H436887 part number to your old cap is the easiest way to confirm fit.

Does the H436887 fuel cap fit Case XT series and 400 series skid steers?

Yes, the H436887 fuel cap fits the Case 40XT, 60XT, 70XT, 75XT, 85XT, 90XT and 95XT skid steers. It also fits the 400 series, including the 410, 420, 430, 435, 440, 445, 450 and 465 plus their Series III versions.

Is the replacement fuel cap for a Case skid steer locking or non-locking?

The H436887 fuel cap Broken Tractor offers for Case skid steers is a non-locking cap. It is a direct replacement style cap for the diesel fuel tank fill neck.

Why replace a damaged or missing fuel tank cap on a Case skid steer?

The fuel tank cap seals the diesel fuel tank fill neck against dirt and moisture. A cracked, worn or missing cap cannot do that job properly, so replacing it helps keep contaminants out of the fuel tank.

How do I make sure I order the right fuel cap for my Case skid steer?

Check that your machine model is on the H436887 fitment list, or match the part number from your existing cap. If you are unsure which cap your skid steer needs, call (800) 909-7060 and the parts team can help confirm fit before you order.
