Frequently Asked Questions

What torque converter fits a Case 580 backhoe?

It depends on which 580 series machine you have and whether it is powershift or non-powershift. Broken Tractor carries units such as SKU 103293A1 for the 580C and 580D, SKU 1995135C1 for the 580K-III, 580 Super K and 580L, and Carraro SKU 87702192R for the 580 Super M-II/III and 580 Super N. Match the part number to your exact model, or confirm your fitment with the parts team before ordering.

What torque converter fits a Case 580B backhoe?

The Case 580B uses a Twin Disc shuttle torque converter, and Broken Tractor carries SKU A39521 built specifically for that machine. The 580B is a non-powershift shuttle unit, so it does not share the same converter as the later 580C or 580D. Confirm the SKU matches your machine before ordering.

Do you have a rebuilt torque converter for a Case 680E backhoe?

Yes, Broken Tractor offers a rebuilt torque converter under SKU L77848 that fits the 680C, 680E, and 680G. It is a rebuilt unit built to spec for these 680 series machines. Verify the fitment against your model before ordering.

What is the difference between a powershift and non-powershift Case backhoe torque converter?

Powershift and non-powershift drivetrains use different converters, so the correct part depends on your transmission type. For example, Broken Tractor carries a non-powershift rebuilt converter under SKU 1995137C1 and a powershift reman converter under SKU 87749358 for the 580 Super M-II and 590 Super M-II. Since fitment varies by drivetrain type and model, match the part number to your machine or call the parts team at (800) 909-7060 to confirm.

What parts are included with a Case backhoe torque converter setup?

Broken Tractor carries the converters plus related drivetrain components including output shafts, housings, flex plate kits, and pump seals. For example, output shaft SKU A186527, converter housing SKU A186703, and flex plate kit SKU 51564348 are offered separately alongside the converters. Fitment for each part depends on your specific model and serial number, so match the part number to your machine.
