Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Case 580K windshield fit a 580 Super L?

Yes, the front windshield we carry (part number 97290C1) is listed to fit the Case 580K, 580 Super K, 580L and 580 Super L, as well as the 590 Turbo and 590 Super L backhoes. Check the part number on your old glass or your parts book against 97290C1 before ordering.

Is the knee glass the same on a Case 580K and 580L?

Not always. The lower right-hand front glass (D131288) and lower left-hand knee glass (D131289) are listed for the 580K, 580 Super K and 590 Turbo. The left-hand lower knee glass (107234A1) and right-hand front upper knee glass (107230A1) are listed for the 580 Super K, 580L, 580 Super L and 590 Super L. Fitment can depend on model and serial number, so match the part number or call (800) 909-7060 to confirm.

What cab door glass is available for a Case 580 Super L backhoe?

Broken Tractor offers door glass for each door position on the 580 Super L, plus the 580K, 580 Super K and 580L. That includes the front upper left-hand door glass (R52879), right-hand front door glass (R52880), left and right swing-out door glass (R52881 and R52882), and left and right lower door glass (R52883 and R52884). We also carry the cab door window glass hinge (R52917) and the door window frame seal (R53444).

What seals and brackets hold the rear cab glass on a Case 580L?

We carry the rear cab glass seal bar (D126198), rear vertical slipper seal (106974A1), and rear lower, upper right-hand and upper retainer support brackets (97259C3, 97256C3 and 97258C3). All of these are listed for the 580K, 580 Super K, 580L and 580 Super L. The rear vertical track channel seal (179355A1) is listed only for the 580L, 580 Super L and 590 Super L, so confirm your model before ordering that seal.

Why won't the cab door stay open on my Case 580K?

The parts that hold a 580K cab door open are the cab door gas compression cylinder (F44881), the left and right hold-open brackets (230590A1 and 230589A1), and the hold-open latch (230588A1), which works on either the left or right door. Inspect each of these for wear or damage to find the cause. All of them are listed to fit the 580K, 580 Super K, 580L and 580 Super L.
