Common Problems & Known Issues
- ✅OPRPR Error — machine won't operate after washing or rain Seat or lap bar sensor loses continuity when wet. 2012 units also have a software glitch triggered by rapid seat entry. Fix: get dealer software update; apply dielectric grease to all sensor connectors; dry cab fully before starting.
- ✅Fuse box fire / wiring harness short (2012–2013) GCU fuse and battery cable junction sit low and are exposed to moisture and debris. A corroded cable causes slow drain or fuse fire. Inspect and apply dielectric grease every 500 hours. Case may require full harness replacement.
- ✅Drive motor hose failure — full hydraulic dump A failed drive motor hose rapidly pumps the entire hydraulic reservoir onto the ground. The cab tilts forward for access — but only with loader arms raised. Inspect drive motor hoses every 50 hours and park with arms up on remote jobsites.
- ✅Aux hydraulics cut out under high-demand attachments Brush cutters and Harley rakes cause the machine to cut aux flow when drive or loader inputs are used simultaneously. Known limitation on low-flow E/H units. High-flow option reduces the issue. Dealer software update may help.
- ✅ Code 1051 — ECM communication loss Usually a short to the instrument cluster fuse in panel #1. Removing the fuse clears the code but prevents starting. Inspect wiring harness behind fuse panel first.
- ✅Track tension & undercarriage wear Loose tracks accelerate sprocket wear and cause derailment in mud or roots. Check tension every 50 hours. Clean undercarriage every 8–10 hours in heavy clay or root conditions.
- ✅DPF regen issues — Tier 4 machines only Extended idling blocks passive DPF regeneration and triggers power derates. Run at operational load regularly. Never idle more than 10 minutes. Allow 3–5 min low-idle cooldown before shutdown after heavy work.
