Where the 310D fits in the JD backhoe line

The 310D succeeded the 310C as the mid-class industrial backhoe loader in JD's lineup. The D refresh was substantial: a turbocharged engine for the first time in the 310 series, high-capacity hydraulics, refined power shuttle drivetrain, and an operator station with improved sealing and ergonomics.

The 310D's turbocharged JD diesel drives a refined power shuttle transmission into planetary final drives.
