The Ford 3610 Utility Tractor, part of the acclaimed 10 Series lineup, was manufactured between 1982 and 1993. Built for mid-range farm work and property maintenance, the 3610 features a robust 3-cylinder diesel engine, efficient hydraulics, and optional live PTO—making it perfect for mowing, loader work, grading, and hay handling. Common Issues & Solutions

  • Hydraulic lift bounces or fails to raise – Replace lift piston O-ring and inspect control valve

  • Brakes weak or pulling – Rebuild both sides with new shoes and adjusters

  • PTO won't engage or disengages under load – Inspect clutch or shift collar

  • Hard starting in cold temps – Replace glow plugs and check charging system

Serial Number Location

  • Location: On flat pad behind starter on left side of engine

  • ID Tag also riveted to transmission housing

  • Serial may begin with “C3610xxxxx” or year-coded prefixes (e.g., “BB”)

Pro Tips

  • Always use Ford M2C134D spec hydraulic/transmission fluid for smooth PTO and hydraulic performance

  • Clean or replace the hydraulic filter screen every 500 hours

  • Regularly grease loader pivot points and steering joints to avoid premature wear
