Engine, hydraulics, and drivetrain

The TR310 runs a Tier 4 Final compact diesel through a hydrostatic dual-path drivetrain into a tracked undercarriage — closed-loop hydrostatic pumps drive final-drive motors at each track. Loader hydraulics use a load-sensing piston pump with electrohydraulic control valves.

The CTL undercarriage gives the TR310 flotation on soft material that a wheeled skid steer can’t match — but track wear monitoring becomes the largest single recurring cost. Track tension, sprocket and roller wear, and idler condition all need scheduled inspection.

Tier 4 Final aftertreatment adds DPF, DEF dosing, and SCR catalyst service to the maintenance picture. Clean fuel and quality DEF are non-negotiable — common-rail injection on the Tier 4 build does not tolerate contamination, and poor DEF damages SCR catalysts.
