Case 435 Skid Steer Loader: 2007–2015 400-Series Tier 3 / Tier 4 Interim
The Case 435 is part of Case’s 400-series skid steer / compact track loader family — Tier 3 / Tier 4 Interim compact diesel, hydrostatic dual-path drive, and the operator interface that bridged the XT-series and the modern alpha (SR/SV/TR/TV) lineup. Produced from 2007 through 2015, it set the stage for the current Case skid steer / CTL platform.
Where the 435 fits in the Case skid steer / CTL line
The 435 sits in the Case 400-series skid steer / CTL range between the Case 430 and the Case 440. It carries Tier 3 / Tier 4 Interim compact diesel architecture, electronic engine controls, and the cab and instrumentation that defined Case’s mid-2000s skid steer / CTL line before the alpha (SR/SV/TR/TV) rename.

Engine, hydraulics, and drivetrain
The 435 runs a Tier 3 / Tier 4 Interim compact diesel through a hydrostatic dual-path drivetrain. Loader hydraulics use a piston pump with electrohydraulic control valves. A wet-disc park brake is integrated with the hydrostatic deceleration logic. Common-rail high-pressure injection is used on the Tier 4 builds, which tightens fuel quality and water-separation requirements considerably.
The cab and instrumentation step up substantially from the XT predecessor — better operator station, more refined joystick controls on equipped configurations, and an instrument cluster with engine, hydraulic, and (where applicable) aftertreatment status. Loader linkage and quick-attach are standard Case skid steer pattern.
Common service items on the 435
- Engine internals: Tier 3 / Tier 4 Interim compact diesel — pistons, rings, sleeves, bearings, gaskets. Common-rail high-pressure injection on Tier 4 builds.
- Tier 4 aftertreatment: DPF service intervals, DEF tank and dosing module, SCR catalyst, EGR cooler service.
- Fuel system: Common-rail injectors, lift pump, very tight water-separator filtration.
- Cooling system: Radiator, water pump, thermostat, fan, charge-air cooler, hoses, belts.
- Hydraulics: Loader lift and bucket tilt cylinder seal kits (86570919 / 86570931 / 86570922 cross-fit on NH/Case alpha-series), piston-pump rebuilds, electrohydraulic control valves.
- Drivetrain: Hydrostatic dual-path pumps and drive motors, charge pump, filters.
- Hardware: 191048A2 axle stud & nut cross-fits broadly across the Case skid steer line.
- Brakes / control: Park brake, control linkage, 48139268 control shock absorber on Case/NH alpha-series control valves.
- Electrical / ECU: Engine ECU, machine controller, instrument cluster, sensors, wiring harness, telematics module.
- Cab / operator station: Cab HVAC, seat, gauges, joystick controls, cab glass, 47405956 windshield wiper blade on cab-equipped units.

Request a PartWhat to verify before ordering
- Aftertreatment generation. Tier 3 / Tier 4 Interim configuration varies by build year — confirm DPF/DEF/SCR layout before ordering.
- Serial number. Confirm the serial on the Case 435 before ordering year-specific parts.
- Engine serial. Internal engine parts must match the engine serial number.
- Hydraulic cylinder bore. Cylinder seal kit fit depends on bore dimension — measure before ordering.
- Cab vs. ROPS canopy. Operator station equipment varied between configurations.
Why the 435 still earns a paycheck
The Case 435 is the mid-2000s Case skid steer loader that bridged the XT-series and the current alpha lineup. Tier 3 / Tier 4 Interim emissions, modern electronics, and cab ergonomics that put the operator in a better seat than the XT predecessor make it a machine still worth keeping in service for compact-loader work, snow, light grading, and material handling.
Maintenance priorities on a 435: clean fuel and tight water separation for common-rail injection, DPF regen behavior (where applicable), hydrostatic charge pressure, and drive-chain tension. Broken Tractor maintains parts coverage across the 400-series and the broader Case skid steer / CTL family.
